Multiple government scholarship schemes are available to support students from all backgrounds. Most students at Government Polytechnic Palanpur receive some form of financial assistance.

Digital Gujarat – Scholarship for SC/ST Students

Amount / Benefit:

Maintenance allowance + tuition fee under the Post-Matric Scholarship; separate food-bill and instrument/equipment assistance schemes (up to Rs. 15,000)

Eligibility:

SC/ST students; family income ≤ Rs. 2,50,000/year for the main Post-Matric Scholarship (BCK-6.1 / VKY-8); extended schemes cover income up to Rs. 6,00,000, with several girls-only schemes having no income limit

Mukhyamantri Yuva Swavalamban Yojana (MYSY)

Rs. 5,000–20,000/year (PM YASASVI, income ≤ Rs. 2,50,000) or per BCK-78 state scheme rates for higher income slabs

Eligibility:

SEBC/OBC/EBC/DNT certificate required (non-creamy layer); PM YASASVI covers income ≤ Rs. 2,50,000; the state BCK-78 scheme additionally covers income up to Rs. 6,00,000 for boys, with no income limit for girls

AICTE Pragati Scholarship (Girl Students)

Rs. 50,000/year for up to 3 years (1st year admission) or 2 years (lateral entry)

Eligibility:

Girl students admitted to 1st year (or 2nd year via lateral entry) of an AICTE-approved diploma; max 2 girls per family; family income ≤ Rs. 8,00,000/year; merit-based, 5,000 scholarships nationally (284 for Gujarat)

AICTE Saksham Scholarship (Specially-Abled Students)

Rs. 50,000/year for up to 3 years (1st year admission) or 2 years (lateral entry)

Eligibility:

Specially-abled students (≥ 40% disability) admitted to 1st year (or 2nd year via lateral entry) of an AICTE-approved diploma; family income ≤ Rs. 8,00,000/year; all eligible applicants are awarded

AICTE Swanath Scholarship (Orphans / Covid-Affected / Martyrs' Wards)

Amount / Benefit:

Rs. 50,000/year for up to 3 years (diploma), reduced pro-rata for later-year admissions

Eligibility:

Orphans, students who lost either/both parents to Covid-19, or wards of Armed Forces/Central Paramilitary Forces martyred in action; family income ≤ Rs. 8,00,000/year; capped at 1,000 diploma scholarships nationally per year

How to Apply for Scholarship

    Get admission confirmation from ACPDC portal

    Collect category certificate (Caste / Income) from Mamlatdar / Taluka office

  3. 3

    Register on relevant scholarship portal (Digital Gujarat / NSP / MYSY)

  4. 4

    Fill application form with all required documents

  5. 5

    Submit bank account details (in student's name) and Aadhaar

  6. 6

    Upload mark sheets, fee receipts, and bonafide certificate

  7. 7

    Track application status online; respond to queries promptly
