The Civil Engineering program at GP Palanpur is jointly run by two distinct departments — the Civil Department and the Applied Mechanics Department — both established in 1984. Together they form one of the college's pioneering technical streams, training students in structural design, surveying, construction technology, and applied mechanics. The Civil Department is led by Mr. D.N. Sheth, while the Applied Mechanics Department is headed by Mr. R.J. Patel.
